Off We Go
This is an old Waldorf song we sing all the time. On hikes. Crossing the street. Anywhere we are "going". I just want to eat him up he is so cute performing this while we were camping last summer in the Uintas.
It's also cool to see how much his speech has improved since then. Damn, he's cute.
He turns three on Saturday, but he keeps telling us that he is 16.
These are the lyrics:
Off we go
Through the woods
Hand in hand
Through the land
What we have
We share together
And we'll never be parted
No, not ever.

Epic Sick Day
Today Sam is sick, Bramm, and Mary are sick. Bramm and Mary are the most sick, so Mairead and Teague came over here. Our carpoolers were all sick too, so Teague stayed home. Just a disaster day. I let them watch Cat in the Hat while I gathered my wits and ingested a large mug of coffee.

It's hard to have a real sick day like this. Sam and Teague played chess.

Autumn Fun
Charlie can't wait for Santa to come on Halloween when he will have his Robot Party for his birthday.
We had a few trees taken down and Kathy discovered that the bark was edible, so she fried some up for Sam and I served it for book group. "Piney" was the main comment. My schedule. This has made my life organized and directed and I love it.

Harvest Walk 2011
Yep, I've kept it going. The kids love it. I like it so much more than Halloween. It puts the real celebration of the harvest back in our lives.

Tarantula at Zion
Yes, Tarantulas roam free in Utah. This is the first time I have seen one. It was pretty damn big. Not as dangerous as a Brown Recluse though. I just heard of someone else seeing one on the Bonneville Trail near SL too. I wonder if this was a prolific summer for them. We need to get a book because now I have all kinds of questions about them.
