Sam's "Nona" Birthday Party

Since Nona was here, we wanted to have a birthday party for Sam with her. We decided to pair it with our Wednesday "Waldorf" playgroup (sorry I have never posted pictures before). To make it extra special, we went to the Holladay Fire Station in our neighborhood (we can walk to it) and Firefighter Bagley arranged the whole thing!! The kids were enthralled and we had a fantastic time!

Ladders!!

This is when Sam finally started asking all his questions. Apparently one of the ladders was missing because it was being repaired. Sam had to know EVERYTHING about that one.

Firefighter Bagley

The kids loved the protective gear and the firefighters were so patient! It was so hot, I don't how this guys stayed his gear for so long, but I guess that is their job!

Stickers and coloring books!!

Party Snacks

The kids indulged in cheese and crackers with strawberries and blackberries. At least two of the kids enjoyed the brie/bleu cheese and Maia ate most of the strawberries - the girl can eat!!

Party Finger Painting

I know it sounds like a frat party idea, but it works for toddlers too. Sam was not too into getting his fingers in the paint and rinsed his fingers off after every swipe at his paper. He was very happy when Katie brought out the paint brushes.

Eli liked doing handprints.
Maia was psyched to have the sandbox all to herself while the boys painted.
