Flute Making
I am making Native American flutes for Sam and Charlie for Christmas. They are very close to being finished, but here are some pictures of them being made. One is a F sharp and one is an F. I can make a few notes sound pretty, but I am definitely looking forward to learning more at the Pioneer Craft House flute circles so that I can teach the boys.
This the bird outline that I am in the process of carving for the top of one.

One is mahogany and one is tiger wood. This is what the inside chambers look like.
My flute teacher, Bill Hughes, made all the Native American flutes played in the opening ceremony of the 02 Winter Olympics here in Salt Lake.
