Sunday Stories

I was walking along saying to Keith, "I wonder why they call this Emigration Canyon. Emigration means leaving and they were arriving in Salt Lake." I didn't realize that Sam was listening because he was about 10 feet behind me and he yelled, "I'm ready to emigration!"

(They were emigrating from Nauvoo, Il., by the way, and considered themselves exiles/emigrants.)

Keith was showing Sam how the GPS works and how we can name places/points on our path. Sam named one place "Lake View" because we could see the lake. Then later, at another point, he named it "Unlake View" because we couldn't see the lake.

Spring

I don't have any pictures for today, but we have had a fair amount of snow in the past week. It seemed to be late, but not so.

Tonight, as I was putting together the Evite for the May Faire (May 30) this year, I was going through the pictures from last year and I found that it snowed on April 24 last year! Then, on April 27 we started getting our camping stuff out.

It looks like we are on the same schedule again this year!

Wow! What a Gorgeous Day!

The weather was truly amazing. It did seem like a miracle after the late winter we have had. We flew kites, had an amazing brunch, and hunted for eggs. It was awesome.
