Our dog and his chickens

Right before the chicks were big enough to put in the coop, we had them in these little pens in the yard. Madu "protected" them all day.

Waterfall

When Sam and I were in NC, we saw a lot of waterfalls. He was absolutely entranced with them. The above structure is Sam's rendering of a waterfall with "water down, down, down". It is the first thing he has ever built on his own.

Lunch at Flaming Gorge

The meat eaters ate hamburgers from Ranch cattle and we grilled them on the front of the boat when it started raining.
Sam took a nice long nap while we toured the Gorge on Roger's boat.

Roger and Whayne.

Flaming Gorge

Ken and Roger each brought ski boats to Flaming Gorge reservoir and we all got to "ski bob". Keith was clearly the King.

Land of Rocks

Sam loves rocks. He loves rocks so much that it can take a really long time to make it around the lake to eat breakfast.

Morning Walk to the Big House

At the Ranch, winter and summer, mornings consist of waking up, maybe making coffee and trying to get out the door and the "Big House" before breakfast is over. The delectable breakfasts this trip included huevos rancheros, blueberry, banana and chocolate chip pancakes, blueberry french toast and lots of other yummy stuff. The very best is when Emily makes cappuccinos.

Outside Aspen House

At Ken and Pam's ranch in Wyoming, we stay in Aspen House with Carl and Elisa. We haven't seen the ranch in the summer in a few years - what a gorgeous spetacle.
