Garden Trip

Our community garden plot has been a rather difficult point of our summer. We had too much going on in our own yard to spend the time over there that we needed to do. Next year, our friend Marshall will garden our plot and give the food to a domestic violence shelter. We'll help when we can. However, one of the things I loved was going to the garden with the kids.

There is a playground over there, so we always stop.

The church that owns the garden property sells 20% of produce from the garden to their congregation on Sunday mornings and gives the money to a homeless shelter. That butternut squash and a bunch of tomatoes are ours.
